Green Hills of Scotland

Green Hills of Scotland

Oh bonny land of green hills and grassy fields
May you never fade from my memory
The Lion of Scotland never yields
No foe will take the freedom of our hearts,
Though they may take our lives and homes.
From the walls of Edinburgh and Falkirk,
To the bloody fields of Bannockburn and Stirling,
The Scottish will never yield nor give up their freedom.
To all who fought and died with Wallace
with bloodied hands and faces
those that fought and fell in those bloody and costly battles.
None of them shall ever be forgot
for they fought and fell to preserve our freedom.
Live on forever my mother Scotland
May your sons never desert you in time of need
May you continually have time of peace and plenty
