Grim

Grim

Wars are waged across the world; the outlook’s very dim.
World leaders’ plots unfurl, like Trump’s—Korea’s Kim.
Survival of our species is now seemingly so slim.

Must we be plagued, or have to beg?
Why’s everything seem Grim?

Why does mainstream media focus so much on the bad?
Why do so many children have a mother, but no dad?
Why are gangland shootings now becoming such a fad?

My, aren’t we glad we are not them?
Why’s everything so Grim?

Why do men and women have to die in wars each day?
Why do families suffer once they’re caught up in the fray?
Peace can't impede pious hearts–has good sense gone astray?

Life’s candle, slim, is burning dim,
now everything’s quite grim…

Indeed Dean. The machinations of those who pull the strings that control the puppets and require war for their armament coffers to be fed is looking more and more likely each day. The drums of an incessant war are beating. Money for the bankers. We need to dwell on truth and in the case of the incessant lies being printed by the papers, follow the trail to the money. Cui bono? Let Light return to Earth...

Hello Dean...

Everything is always more difficult in the middle...

That's when many people stop and get stuck...

Grim can pant like a dog...

Great write!

There's nothing like a grim headline to sell some papers.

That's why the mainstream media focuses on sad stories, Gerard.
Nice doesn't sell papers or garner big ratings on television.
Sad, but true.
Thanks for reading.
