Growing old together

The simple way you stroke my hair as you brush past my chair
The touch has so much meaning; it shows you really care
When you hold me in your strong embrace; I feel so warm inside
Our long marriage and two children just fill me up with pride

I look at you and know that I was right to say ‘’I do’’
A love that’s stood the test of time; a love that is so true
We don’t need to speak to communicate we know each others’ mind
We are soul mates that were meant to meet; I guess two of a kind

We’re growing old together and our love continues to grow
I am so glad that our paths crossed, all those years ago
We made a vow to each other and to the vow we still abide
