Guilded Cage

I carry my heart, protected in a gilded cage.
It's been protected for as long as I can recall... no matter my age.
It will only be released when i  find the one whom shall protect it.
Is it You to whom i submit?
i have tried and shot down.
my heart broken, no glue shall contain it together,  i drown.
It is but a simple request.
Sadly to You, You claim regret.
her heart shall forever remain...
