Poem -

Gum

Chewing on a piece of gum

Watching the blood come,

Catch you cry at night

The end is within sight.

Chewing on a piece of gum

Feelings like you are scum,

Secrets that come to light

As your heart be nights.

Chewing on a piece of gum

Falling to pieces crumb by crumb,

Mute screams for aid

While you are a ticking hand grenade

My heart is a peep sight,

But sit back and sit tight.

Flat on the counter, a piece of gum

Untouched, and feeling numb,

No way to mend

Only way to end.
