Halfway There My Love-Happy Twenty Sixth

Halfway There My Love-Happy Twenty Sixth

October 29th, 1929, is a sad day in American history;
When people with great fortunes, were penniless instantly!
It is known as β€œBlack Tuesday”, the day the Stock Market crashed and died;
Many took their own lives, their shame unable hide!
.
But fast-forward sixty-three years later, to 1992;
A Thursday night of great fortune, the one that I met you!
It happened quite unexpectedly, at a singles dance, of all place;
I saw you sitting at a table, and my heart began to race!
.
I asked if you would care to dance, and you fell into my arms;
The moment we held closely, our hearts and Souls were charmed!
By Monday night we knew that, our Soulmate we had found;
We pledged our love forever, our lives eternal bound!
.
Now all these great years later, I look back to that most glorious of nights;
When Fate led us to one another, to become β€œMr. and Mrs. Right”!
We are halfway there my true love, twenty-six more to go;
Each one of them a blessing, each one our love will grow!
.
.
