HALL OF DREAMS

HALL OF DREAMS

Don’t touch that there
No need to wake that one
He screams when he’s awake
Look elsewhere

There’s piles of days,
Seconds, months
Even a year or two
Watch for the ones with a little color

All and all they’re the safest to stir
Less likely to bite,

Much easier to put to rest again

I know I know some are colorless
Like a pile of black and white rags
Some of them shiver and quake
That one sobs sometimes

Well let me know if you find a particular memory
You want to relive
After 72 years there are a lot

I’ll just sit here in the corner
72 years of filing and overseeing
I have to sit more than I used to
As guardian of his memories

I have kept every one......
