The Happiness Virus

The Happiness Virus

Last night the light fell from the stars
like a magical rainstorm.
Glowing as baubles the dripping colors
drenched the gardens in its beauty.

From my bedroom window
I could hear the music of the earth
old and timeless hypnotic calling me.
In duty to nature I opened the door

Jumping into the wonderment
like a schoolboy
jumping from the school steps
for the summer holidays.

The music touched my heart.
Starlight filled my soul.
Elation rushed like a mad virus
taking my mind.

I became infected forever
with the happiness virus
Last night
in my garden at midnight.
When I danced in the starlight rain
in my pajamas.
