Poem -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

I learned to cry today...
Though the tears fell dry
For tears like these
Could never fall
From any human eye

I learned to cry today...
Tears like blood from soul
To drown a heart
That screamed last beats
Into a hollowed hole

I learned to cry today...
Though no tears were seen
Beneath two eyes
Devoid of hope
Though filled with kindly sheen

Two eyes that viewed
Two hands
Too clean
And hair scraped back
In plastic sheen

Two hands... too clean...
Too clean
Too clean
Two hands
So very clean...

I learned to cry today....
