Happy Eighty-Second

Oh, my precious parents, today marks eighty-two;
Since the day you two were married, and pledged your love so true!
On a furlough you two wedded, just three days to honeymoon;
An Atlantic City getaway, which ended far too soon!
For some hours, Dad was A.W.O.L., not wanting to leave his Bride;
But his Captain so forgave him, and never was he tried!
After Boot Camp, you shared some more time, then he left for old Fort Sill,
Where he quickly got a ranking, and you reunited, such joy filled!
So, soon you were expecting, and thatās where I came in;
Mom traveled to New Jersey, giving birth āmongst all her kin!
You put me on a pedestal, you filled my life with joy;
So, Happy Anniversary my dear Parents, from your loving little boy!
My dearest Parents
You live on eternally
In my loving Soul
