Haunted

Haunted

Twilight painfully befalls
Steps creak in old halls
Cursed to wander evermore
Miles amass on ruined floor

Weep aplenty milady fair
Tis heavy burden to bear
Unrest anchors thy heart
Angst refuses to depart

Forgotten tis lost soul
Harsh tis love that twas stole
Cradle leaden ball and chain
Tis only madness to remain

Drafts emit sorrowful moan
Cold chills to marrow bone
Ice asunder window frame
Disregard twas such shame
