He Who Laughs Last

He Who Laughs Last

Ye of little faith

Doubted Patriot Power

Who is crying now?

Hi Sweet Rose,

Ever since 1992, when Linda and I fell in love in Boston, I have been an avid New England Patriots fan.  Linda's Father took her to the first game they ever played, an she has been their passionate fan ever since.  In their early years, they spent many seasons as cellar dwellers, but she never stopped loving her Patriots.  Now, they have become the greatest football dynasty ever known.  What a wonderful thing for my sweet Linda!

All my love,

Daddio xxx

I always love reading Larry's poems

But not this one

I hate it

I loath it

I wish I'd never

Read it!

Why?

Because it's about the Patriots winning the Super Bowl

When it should be about my beloved Packers winning it

Just like a Tom Brady football

Larry's poem left me feeling

DEFLATED

(sob!)

Dear Kimmy,

Sorry to take the wind out of your sails, or rather "football".  Sorry Green Bay was sent "packing" this season.  They are really a cool team, but of course that is because of that "ice bowl" they play in.  But, with such a great quarterback as Aaron Rogers, maybe next year, I'll be hating your victory poem!  But until then, you can take a hike.  Ha, Ha, just lovingly joking, as you were.

Peace and Love,

Larry xxx

My dear Friend Jason,

They are generally about one meter beneath their balls.

Ah Larry my dear friend...

You are a fountain...nay! a mountain...of information, vegetable, animal and mineral; which, I think, makes you the very model of a modern Major General!!
Once a year, Croke Park in Dublin hosts one of the College games; if you're ever over for one...please let me know. I could show you the delights of my native city and you could show me the delights of your native sport. Basically, we'd both Go Native!!

I'm happy for you, Linda and the Patriots.

your friend & fan,

J ;)

My Dear Friend Jason,

If I ever come to Dublin, you'll be the first to know.  But if we both "Go Native", I've got dibs on Robinson Crusoe, and you'll have to be Friday.

Linda and I thank you for your congrats!
