Healing

I'm at a crossroad,
my dad is getting better,
He's been more calm,
But it's still hard,
I still think about everything,
The abuse...
The trauma...
I'm trying to forgive him,
But maybe I need to to forgive myself first,
Forgive myself for holding on to the pain for so long ,
Maybe if I forgive myself I can, forgive him too,
Either way time will heal all wounds,
Just got to let go of the pain I felt in the past and look towards the future.

Hello Teresa...

Having to forgive a parent is a lot like having to forgive a Spouse or A Best Friend...

Back to the...

No one's perfect...

I'm sure you know when you forgive something horrible done to you...

It's for you it's not for them...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...
