Heart Strings.

Heart Strings.

I have become numb to the toxic happenings in my surroundings.
What once would have bothered me may no longer as I have grown tolerant to destructive behavior.
& as I lay awake in the comfort of my bed this late weekday night,
I will think about all of those who have entered and vanished from my life.
Those who have left trails of blood following behind them from the heart strings within me they have pulled.
