Heartache

Heartache

Heartache
Β
Lying here sleepless my room’s pitch dark
And I have a constant aching of the heart
Β
I lay and wonder will true love ever find me
Laying here awake now it’s a quarter to three
Β
My frozen heart it still aches for love
Lord send me blessings from above
Β
My soul it travels to somewhere out in space
There’s so much heartache I still have to face
Β
My broken life lies in pieces on the floor
Still just the same as it did before
Β
Life may be a winding river that leads to the sea
Wish life would give me the freedom to believe
Β
Somewhere deep down in my bleeding heart
Burns an ember just awaiting a fire to start
Β
How I wish I had a pair of wings so I could fly
Would never allow another day of loneliness to go by
Β
Night after night I sit by the telephone
Yet here I am still silently waiting all alone
Β
I’ve got a constant aching deep within my heart
Been waiting forever for the rainclouds to part
Β
Can close my eyes can’t make the pain go away
As long as I’m alone the heartache is here to stay
Β
Β There’s got to be somebody out there for me
Lord open my eyes because I’m too blind to see
Β
Love please tell me that you haven’t forsaken me
Flow through my lonely heart so you can set me free
Β
