Heartbreak

The day was young without sadness
All the tears had all been shed

The words had all been said

And I was so weary

Reflection can be costly

Going down memory lane

Reliving all the painĀ
Sighing deep wounded breaths

Gazing forward with all my might

Love shouldn't bring such agony

But a true heart broken doesn't mend

It just gets a patch and keeps on

Until the day it gets stripped away

And you lie bleeding in the moment

Stop it !Ā Ā
Please, stop it!
As your life feels like it's ebbing

But, death doesn't happen

Not the body anyway

I am amazed at how much we can take

Healing happens I pray it does

So I can get on my way
