Heartfelt Words

Heartfelt Words

Eyes soar for kids like them, a loving mom and dad.Ā

Eyes sore for kids like us, a teenage mom and abusive men.Ā

Dreams soar for kids like them, their births were planned.

Dreams sore for kids like us, our births were allowed.Ā

The Catholic Church proud of kids like them, married parents from good morals and values.Ā

The Catholic Church ashamed of kids like us, born out of wedlock from lost and wandering souls.Ā

Against all odds and advice, when it came to a possible abortion, my 16 year old mother never thought twice!

Among all the trials and tribulations, among all the bad decisions and turmoil, she still did give meĀ LiFe!Ā

What I make of it, will only be a direct reflection of who it is, I desire to be! With no responsibility at anyone else’s doorstep but that of mine, it can all be in vein or it can all be with purpose.Ā

Regardless our past, regardless our childhood, only we can decide to be heroic or play the victim!Ā
