Poem -

Heaven Sent

Heaven Sent

When the daffodils bloomed
I knew it was your smile,
that illuminated my once baron meadow
and set the flowers to sing

Spring became constant
A joyful event
Heaven sent from your radiant light
For every day is full of sun and wonderment
Since I felt your warmth,
your grace

This space, called me
Had been so achingly forlorn
Waiting for a new dawn
To seed new life
into these empty veins
To sooth away,
those deep rooted pains

You arrived
Drifting in like that morning mist
That seeks to rest,
to settle its tender kiss on delicate ground
And I knew then
I had found,
the source to my blue sky

You set my soul to fly
So high
I could see above my own trees
Where I saw myself through your eyes
Through the sunlight that was you
And I knew, at that moment
That you were
and always would be

The light in me

So i greatly enjoyed the theme as you literally built the write from the ground up, I found it very uplifting as each stanza ended with a word rhyming with the begining of the next one ( not sure if on purpose but it really gave it more emphasis) and as always you have such a unique way to create such vision through your words . Beautiful poem ~Rob

Wow Rob your perception of this piece is perfect. I did indeed intend to grow this from the ground up. Because this person helped me see more of myself and helped me grow in spirit and belief. Yes I like to sometimes rhyme at the start rather than the end. Something I have done before. Many many thanks for this wonderful feedback. You are a true observer of life and it reflects in your poetry and commentary. Makes for a great writer Rob. Thanks for this today x

Wow Tony, what a wonderful comment. Your words reflected a beautiful nature to this piece. I am thrilled you could see love in it. What better season to explain the birth of love, than spring itself. Fabulous and insightful reading my friend. You never ever disappoint any of us here on Cosmo with your input and creative mind

Many many thanks 🙏

You are gracious and generous with sharing your words, your grace.
In the light we shine and keep it anchored in this world.. The remaining stars
from long ago we are reborn into each others hearts. I see such beauty in
this. I can go to that still space where the unwavering love of our divine nature is always shining forth. IT is when we consciously turn from that blessed light we enter the darkness.. We always have the choice to return to our true home and nature... the light.  well written and a lovely encounter.
