Heavenly Angel

Heavenly Angel

Heavenly Angel

Let me swim in the gracious seas waves
My heart’s still waiting to be saved

Loosen the many crosses that I wear
Expose the light and take me there

Take me to the dark edge of night
Giving me the gift of second sight

Guide me down my darkened road
Help me to loosen my heavy load

Breathe new life into this tired soul
Don’t allow life to take it’s heavy toll

Bring joy to all five of my senses
Allow me to put to rest all my defences

Let the ocean wash my naked body clean
I long for love you know what I mean

Take me down to life’s ever winding river
Prop me up enabling me to stand and deliver

Allow everlasting love to flow through my veins
Don’t want to awake another day feeling the same

Give me a pair of wings so like a bird I can fly
So I can paint my message of love across the sky

Take me to a place where my heart grows strong
Give me a loving home a place where I can belong

For they often say home is where the heart is
To find an abundance of love is my only wish

Show me a heart full of love, compassion and respect
I have a broken heart that I’m trying to protect

Heavenly angel please come and carry me home
To a place where my heart no longer needs to roam
