Hell's Dream House

Sleep is but a hindrance
An evil waste of time
To be carried nightly
To the same old place
A place I don’t want to go
It all begins so subtle
In the beginning a lovely dream
But all of that is wiped away
Erased by the unseen
I find myself all alone
In a house that scares me so
Fighting to find a way to get out
Yet there is nowhere to go
I can’t see what is chasing me
But I know it is on my heels
Through this door then that
Each one is a trap
This I already know to be fact
This place is a madhouse
Full of trap doors and maze designs
Though I am not alone here
I seem to be the only one
On the monsters mind
Something keeps bringing me here
I wish I knew what and why
Could this be my dreams version
Of a twisted lullaby
Or is there a higher reason
One for me to understand
Right now all I know
Is this place is out of hand

Many thanks
great poetess darla think deep much like myself at times your poems are really worth reading tina x
True that,
Puts you in mind of poetess Tina Moore quite so. Same form of mystical glow about what you present to the table and with always, a morrow to the story being told and once again your image is one of great choice to match your poem...Job Well Done...
