Poem -

helplessness

I harbor dreams where whispers weave,
I am the dreamer of lost causes,
My hands tremble with the weight of dreams.

I yearn to rewrite the skies, to command the tides,
I am but a whisper in the hurricane's roar,
In a world that won't bend.

I stand before the world, a heart full of hope,
Reach for the stars, but I'm tethered to the ground.
In a world I can't seem to leave.

I walk the shores of silent pleas,
The cries for change, they pierce the night,
The world spins on, indifferent to my plea,

I long to lift the veils of pain,
A wish to mend the fractured skies,
But my hands are bound by earthly ties.
