Poem -

Her Journey

Her mother watched,

From heaven above,

On her daughters journey,

and fear of love,

The marks on her wrists,

Don't make her a freak,

The pain she causes

Doesn't make her weak,

She is bullied at school,

Abused by her dad,

She hates this world,

She's always sad,

Her mother is an angel,

Her tears are the rain,

She feels so helpless,

She can not stop the pain,

One cut too deep,

And she will be with her mom,

Will anyone miss her,

When she is gone?

She puts the blade to her skin,

Sick of this world,

not being able to win,

Cutting across a previous scar,

Watching the blood,

Knowing she's not far,

She drifts from life,

And sees an angel above,

This little girl,

No longer fears love,

She's happy now,

There is a sense pride,

That every second,

There is no need to hide,

The scars on her wrists,

Are no longer there,

For once in her life,

It all seems fair.
