Hera

Hera

Eyes of peacock green
Jealousy daunts this queen
Pride tis ignobly vain
Husband’s indiscretions her bane

Hatred tis mighty thing
Conniving deity sting
Hercules son of Zeus
Endured Hera’s abuse

Harshly t’was he tasked.
Lament nary all she asked.
After all, said and done.
No validation was won.

Goddess censured many times.
Sever was her said crimes.
Murder potent cure
Clearly demise would assure.
