hidden

I wonder if when others see me

when they look into my eyes

do they see a little girl

or do they see what hides behind

are my scars failed to be hidden

is my broken hearted pain known

have my flaws and imperfections obviously grown

do they see my loss of love

can they hear my muffled cries

are they aware of the sadness I try so hard to hide

or have I fooled them all

into believing the lies I leak

are they truly deceived by the dishonest words I speak

I suppose its not hard to trick someone

 so ready to believe all your untruths

only willing to see your innocent lies

not the girl who hides inside
