Hidden hatred

I stand here in front of the world
A mask hiding my face
Concealing the hatred within
As it swirls inside the pit hidden deep
Like a raging ocean threatening the land
As it crashes onto the ground consuming everything in its way
Sadness
Happiness
Every thought becomes hatred
Every word is venom spat
But I can’t respond
For they want to see
So I silently wait
Burying everything so deep
Waiting for it to rear it’s ugly head once more
Within the darkness came the light
Shining so bright
Bringing with it warmth
Not wanting to fix or heal
Black wings enveloping me
The warmth burnt through the hatred
Cleansing me
