"His Call"

"His Call"

"Grief and pain can make monsters,
out of women and men,
hurt from a sin against you,
traded for a sin against them.

Drinking and using,
as you slur,
'It's all their fault,
and they're not even worth the money,
for the drugs that I bought!'

Where does the damage stop?
Where does it end?
When will you put your fists down,
and hug them as friends?

You say the world's out to get you.
No, you're out to get the world,
and the hate makes you blind,
and slowly you become alone with sin,
when you're at your lowest point,
will you reach out to God then?

You don't have to be alone,
drinking and using,
so hatefully blind.
Let us start today,
with a small act that is kind,
that will slowly take down,
the wall surrounding your heart,
to let the Light and Jesus in,
and make a fresh start.

Just think of what people,
will say knelt by your grave,
of how many people,
you tried and helped save,
because good memories of you,
will be worth it all!
Jesus is calling,
will you answer His Call?"
