His Savage Soul

She did reveal to him, tender secrets
how she fell hard for the perfume of love
how promises were given, and broken
how the best of her, longs only for one
her heart was offered as a movable feast,
then reckoned to have no value;
like a cup after the wine is poured out.
Her soul  empty and abandoned
He listened intently to her tale of woe;
salivating on weakness; feeling no sympathy
the pain of hunger had taken his compassion
left him barren with only the need to hunt
and feed
his smile shining like fools' gold; for her
He would transform himself like this;
comfort desires she held for another
then feed on the essence of passion conceived;
 when she touched the skin of true love, long ago.
Patiently waiting, to taste her good company
he was stiffened by tears and moving lips
the savage hunger pangs of conquest, held sway
and would soon be comforted with a feast
where no meat would be left on the bone.

HRL, you read this 3 times, bless your heart, I`m scratching my head as to where this one came from, lol....it surprised me how dark and cynical it came out, I just saw the newest Star Wars movie, I think it got to me, lol...cheers pal
Hey saw the new star wars movie to with my sweetheart. Â We both liked it . Hope you enjoyed it to . Rock
Hey Mamma Jamma!!........I agree........sure missed you around here lately.........no one can write like you brother!...........the silkiness of this piece is a deadly arrow that pierces the heart of your reader.........her "moveable feast"..........his transformation...........the exceptional ink left dripping like honey from the pen of the author leaves the reader with a very serious question...........Is there more?..........didn't want the magic to end..........needed more........HAVE TO look up his biography..........this is SO friggin' good man!........can only say..........I Hate You..........you make me doubt my own abilities!! (smiles).........I Love you C-n-C!!........well done.........your friend and admirer............T xoxo
sister Cherie, been a while since I got a comment from you, missed that...I had to write something I`ve not written before, so this came out, lol....I was reading a book of poetry I picked up randomly from a Walmart shelf as I waited around to see my doctor, and I was kinda captivated by the thing, the writer had poems on so many random things, from walking on a train track to watching a pebble sink into a river, so I said to myself, just write about anything that comes into your head and stop trying to always tell a story....I tried, lol, it felt weird to write like that so I fell into the narrative again, tried to get into the mind of a lion or tiger in human form, for this one...hey you always make my poetry sound a lot better than it really is, my friend...I adore your commentary, thanks a million...cheers Â
Tony, my brother from another mother, thank you so much for saying those things, honestly man I don`t think I write poetry well, it`s a bunch of random thoughts thrown at the wall to see what ends up making sense....I`ll take the encouragement coming from you any day of the week and twice on Sundays, I need it believe me, hugz to you....hey I find poetry delightfully frustrating, I was chatting with someone earlier about it (nite V,) if you write a thousand poems, the next one is the only one is the most important one to you, lol, I find that so weird....hey love it when you call me  Mamma Jamma...have a great night...I`m honoured by your words  Mr.  Tony Taylor, from Chicago...much love, cheers pal
Incredible Christopher, and to say you don't write poetry well that's nonsense. This dark write feasted on my attention as I happen to agree with Tony I did not want it to end. You have quite an admirable and inspiring talent my friend glad to se you using it for it is truly missed when not. Much love and respect to you.
LOVE this poem, I see those kinda guys that offer you a shoulder to cry on feigning friendship in guise of compassion, yet seeking their own ends. This is soooo well written :)
thanks T A, I can't think of anything else to say
