Poem -

His wings

His wings

This is another poem written with my girlfriend. She would write a line and then I would write a line. This is what it became

A block with two holes,

One which whispers in the tiniest tones

The other screams but no one knows

Beneath the block each memory spurns

Beneath the block his life he burns

Hot and twisted,

Full of tosses and turns,

The voices he hears the shadows he sees

The images of past lives set him free

It's as if they heard his plees

Begging and begging oh dear God please

He cries out to the night

The stars all fall in the twilight

She catches them all with her hands

Her love for him never ends

She carries each star accross the land,

Leading his way Through the bends

A way home for him she will find

A way home from the war in his mind

Towards the heavens left behind

Angels and demons he will fight

Halos and horns

Darkness verse light

A soul so scorned

The vastness of his plight

This his time for a chance of love and delight

Set him free in this night

Give him his wings

Let him fly

With his wings

Give him life

The wings he received came from his making,

He created this path

Out of

Hands that we're shaking
