Holiday

Holiday fun is about to come,
All my work and home chores for now are done.
As I embark on my adventure with a destination in sight,
The inevitable quarrels and rush to catch our flight.

Did I pack my toothpaste, have I got my forms
wheres my passport, oh no so much to do
Yeh, I am about to go on holiday, tout a` l'heure.

Now I have started my travels, people rushing everywhere,
all with similar anticipation of when they get there.
12 hours in and ever so close, starting to feel tired and jaded,
its the travel I disklike the most.

Still plenty to see, lots to do, need an itinerary
or I could just wing it, like I usually do.

Finally got here and pleasantly surprised,
time for a cultural exchange,
oh well my fitness regime I know will demise.

I will embrace this holiday with such promise and awe
thank goodness I am here, I couldnt ask for more.
If I come away with happy memories of my time away,
I know I have had a good holiday, what more could I say.
