HONORED BY CUTTING MAIL SERVICE
12/5/18
George Herbert Walker Bush, 41st President of the United States (1989-1992) dies on November 30th of 2018 aged 94. President Donald Trump proclaims Wednesday December 5th as a National Day of mourning for the President H. Bush by suspending regular mail deliveries on that day.
I don’t agree, Presidents who pass today get television coverage 24 hours a day for four to five days. All the Sunday talk shows talk about the legacy of the deceased. Putting the flags at half-mast is fine, but cutting mail delivery?
If you want to create a holiday, why not election day  every November so the working class can get to the polls, and take some time on that day to reflect on the legacy of the history of the United States and how we can improve our Republic on that day.
Republicans are known for cutting funds and services to the poor and working class;Â
so far as that that goes, I guess it was the appropriate Republican way to honor Republican President H. Bush...
by cutting a vital public services from the people on his remembrance day.
Good for the USPS workers who get a day off, but not happy with the President's new precedent.
