Hope

Hope

Amidst this wicked darkness, there shines a light; a light which dances and flickers in all its natural beauty, a light so delicate and pure, a light which fights every day to be seen, to be heard, to be noticed. Yet I am blinded; devious shadows engulf the joyous whispers with which I have been gifted, looming tragically in the darkest trenches of my blackened soul - waiting, wanting and wishing the time would come when the debilitating fog would lift, setting me free from the prison which I have come to know, trapped inside the mind I once knew as myself.

If everything else is lost there is always hope to fall back on !

Having had my fair share of concerns and personal issues throughout life experience I can relate to the emotional responses outlined in this poem. Despair and isolationist feelings I conquered, reinvigorating my soul finding fresh impetus in this world !

Never lose sight of goals and ambitions propelling you forward and giving you strength in worse times.

Compelling composition.

Best wishes to you !  :)

Science-Fiction isn't really my preferred genre, but I can see why you suggested Frank Herbert with his series of five 'Dune' books. Thank you for taking the time to leave a message, much appreciated.
