Poem -

Hope that Never Dies

~~There was once a time
I felt nothing was mine
Wanted to grab a knife
And take my own life

I searched through and through
Wanted to find something true
Needed a reason to feel
Something that would heal

This broken heart of mine
Felt I wasn’t worth a dime
Nothing in me would shine
Was my soul even mine

The darkness I felt
Whipped me hard like a belt
I was tossing and turning
A burden to bear in this nightmare

There was one thing, something
Not nothing but everything
What helped me cope
Was a wonderful hope

I then began to realize
There was something in my eyes
It was a nice surprise
When I saw hope that never dies
