HORMONES

HORMONES

When we were in our teens
Hormones made us love
Made us bad and made us sad:

Remember when we first met
Chemistry on the back desk
Your smell made my heart pound
You flicked your hair as you
Slowly turned around
I slapped your arse and it made you laugh
'Oxytocin' made us love back then

We were so bad
As we set fire to stolen cars in the fieldsĀ
And run through the woods with knifesĀ
'Adrenaline' controlling actions and thoughts

When we last met couldn't you see I was sad
The pounding in my heart had stopped
I had burnt through my 'dopamine'

That's 'hormones' for yah.
