Horns On My Head

I’m grasping at straws through the night
After you and I have a fight.
Such hatred and dynamite
And words filled with shite!
After all these years you’d think
Marriage wouldn’t have times that sink.
By the wee mornin’ hours we’re back in bed.
Those first few awaking hours we both dread.
Making up is hard to do.
Passion runs deep between me and you.
I hope you will still be mine.
I wouldn't know how to live if I weren’t thine.
I'm sorry my love for the way I acted and for the things I said.
These horns on my head I'll have to shed.

Hi Cactus Woman, This was a touching write, each line so deeply felt, I loved this
"I hope you will still be mine.
I wouldn't know how to live if I weren’t thine.
I'm sorry my love for the way I acted and for the things I said.
These horns on my head I'll have to shed."
Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Thank you Cleo. This piece is a small token of my regret for the arguments that have gone on through the years.
Thank you for your understanding and thoughtful message.
