HOTEL LIFE

I went into the hotel at just after three
I beckoned the waiter and ordered afternoon tea 
The rates here are well beyond my means 
Ten pounds a pop for a plate of beans 

Guests in this hotel are awfully posh 
One hundred pounds a night is a lot of dosh 
I love to listen, observe and people stare
Even though I am sure I do not belong there 

The hotel has character that is for sure 
Was first constructed during the Boer War 
My creative juices come from within these walls 
I will leave you now as nature calls ​​​​​​​
