Hug a Little Kid

One day my baby sister
Crawled over to me
She wanted to sit on my lap
While we watched TV

Then my other sister
Clearly needed a hug
She had had a bad day and well
It gave my heart strings a tug

Little kids are quite emotional
Kind of hard to understand
One second they are mad at you
And the next they want to hold your hand

So no matter how you're feeling
You need to hug a little kid
It'll mean a lot to them
And you'll be happy you did
