Humiliation

Humiliation

I sit looking at all the faces surrounding me
They grin and glare I swear my way,
Every time they snicker their talk
My ears hear the jokes on me,
With the eyes, the tongues, their words
Poke fun and laugh at me,
Call me paranoid
But it's constantly,
Why can't I find that defense
That holds my ground in resilience,
Why does the trash seem to filter through
Directed at getting to you,
I bolt and barricade the door
Still they call out to me
And I let them in, I let them in.
I try so hard to show no signs of mad
It has started to take away from who I am,
Now an everyday battle
For a branding new war,
All because I let them in, I let them in.
