Poem -

I always believed

I always believed

I always believed
there was meaning
to my  life

Today I am
convinced I have
lived a lie

We invest emotions
we dare to
make ourselves vulnerable

only to lose
through death's door
those we love

Mortality yanks me
from the fountain
of my youth

No delusions here
fairytales lost to
cold reality's breath

I now sit
live for them
not for me

No ending here
unlike our fate
just unresolved feelings

Being Me

It's a peculiar thing— death. The emotions it throws up when we lose someone are all over the place. Life is so precious and all too fragile. Hope you are okay, Greg x
