I Am Glorious!

You pass me by, no backward glance
and remember me perhaps by chance?
I’m fluid like and just blend in
but I can take it on the chin
I am glorious!

I don’t stand out, I’m always there
but hurt my friends you’d best beware.
I’ve loyalty coursing through my veins,
work hard and mostly don’t complain
I am glorious!

I have no cape with which to fly
No x-ray vision in my eyes,
My strength is in my fearsome heart
but when in need I’ll take your part.
I am glorious!

There’s no way I please everyone
my opinions pretty much homespun.
Good sense for me is paramount
but I’ll be there when it really counts
I am Glorious!

Sometimes I’m loud,sometimes I’m not,
and when I’m cross I swear a lot.
I’m made of pieces of my past
I am unique and not precast,
I am Glorious!

I hide my flaws but know they’re there
and act real cool although I care.
I am unique, a soul that’s free
That’s why I’m Glorious
I am me !

You're quite glorious. I love that you've adopted me as your own, and don't even know me that well. Everyone loves you on here, I've noticed, which shows how awesome you are.

My lovely boy..as you get older you realise that what people think of you is far less important that how you think of yourself..but generally if you appreciate who you are and behave with kindness and respect then people sense that..and thats what people see in you my Honorary..you are kind and supportive and everyone loves hearing from you..as obviously I do..always! Glorious you most definitely are Iodigiana, this poem is just what I wanted to hear, I read it twice loud and clear, to truly understand that there is no fear, but a glorious person in a mad world of blood, death and fire.

In the craziness of the world sometimes we get lost in other peoples expectations of who and what we should be..rather than come to know and accept ourselves ..it doesn't make us perfect ..thankfully,, but maybe gives us that element of truth about ourselves that is maybe what we are all searching in life to find...You always have my support Gerard and my thanks for your kind words dear man!
