I never promised
you a rose garden

Though we
Cherish the
Sunshine
inevitably 
there
will be
some 
rain

As hard
as life 
can be
isn't  it
the storms
that bring
the tranquility
of peace

I know we
have weathered
some
enormous
turmoil
lately
but 
the calm
stable
wind
is on
its
way

Babe
I never did 
promised
you a Rose Garden
but 
just look
there is a
bed
of Tulips
laid before
you
and though
they
may
not be a 
rose
they
also
do not have
thorns....................................
