Poem -

I beg your Pardon

I beg your Pardon

I beg your pardon
I never promised
you a rose garden
AND
Though we
Cherish the
Sunshine
inevitablyĀ
there
will be
someĀ
rain

As hard
as lifeĀ
can be
isn'tĀ  it
the storms
that bring
the tranquility
of peace

I know we
have weathered
some
enormous
turmoil
lately
butĀ
the calm
stable
wind
is on
its
way

Babe
I never didĀ
promised
you a Rose Garden
butĀ
just look
there is a
bed
of Tulips
laid before
you
and though
they
may
not be aĀ
rose
they
also
do not have
thorns....................................
