I Can't Stand Criticism

I can't stand criticism-
It damages my fragile self- esteem.
I know I should be stronger
But I'm not- so it would seem.

A leftover idea from childhood
Is that I should be treated with kid gloves.
Critical remarks bring me close to tears
Criticism seems too much.

I guess I should accept remarks,
Learn, then let them go.
Become a better person-
Learn humility and grow.
