Poem -

I can fly?

I stood at the very edge
The brink of absolution
I just hoped to myself
That I knew what I was doing
Reaching out to feel the wind
Brush across my arms
Im ready I tell myself
I just hope I dont get scars
I stick my foot off the edge, and for a moment I hesitate
I lean foward and off I go
flapping wildly
Trying to catch the wind but I cannot
And down down I go
And plummet into the cold snow
And die
A penguin cannot fly
