Staying shoes

Change

I almost walked away.
That's what I tend to do.
Burning bridges takes me time,
But it's something I'm prone to.
I always keep a to go bag, never planting any roots ; and forever there is walking meant for my boots.
Just to keep tears off my cheeks,
Or giving a chance to be vulnerable and weak.
I'll cut my losses, and let my bare feet hurt the streets.
So today I almost turned away and ran.
Thinking you weren't that "all in" type of man.
But in the brink of my denial,
you made each day worth while!
Change is something well past due.
And happens even when you don't really want it to.
I've held home in the chaos, for me I've always had some sort of peace.
But nothing ever made me tremble or that sudden weakness in my knees.
Until the night you showed me I was always worth it and had some more to say.
Now I fire grows inside my core
I'm finally ready to just stay.
At times if I'm unsteady,
I'll know you are ready ,
I can't count on you.
I know that finally you love me to.
