I CONTAIN MULTITUDES

A billion sperm cells-
Like stars in the sky
Swam to the nest-
Of the Phoenix and Her eggs
Iron bones of the gods-
A stone fell to the Earth
X marks the spot-
For men to build a temple
Never knew mother or father-
Adopted into a strange home and blood
Am I or am I not-
Related to slaves or warriors?
Call it the mystery of my chromosomes-
Only one who knows for sure is my Creator
Decipher the code- or decipher my poetry-
For all they know- I've been here forever
Say what you will about fate or destiny-
I escaped yours to write my future
I contain multitudes-
Sunshine and the rain-
Pleasure and pain-
Divided from the remainder
A religion of mathematical equations-
Holds more truth than a book of superstition
A billion sperm cells-
Like stars in the sky
Within me are elements of the unknown
Welcome to my world-
I make love to angels
Get enough people to believe the world is ending-
And from the dust- they make kings out of demons
Like the Universe- I contain multitudes-
Can you count all that surround my Star?

Greetings James,
This is a very good poem…A multitude of illusions, all wrapped up into one  astronomical being, one which questions his true identity, thus to he, his identity is quite well known, feeding of his  preys’ weaknesses is of his bountiful essence, ponders and ponders, his will and strength, until that
weak spot has been identified and conquered, adding to his many, in numbers….The master of
illusions  is he, a very mystical poem by the poet and a complete attention grabber…..
Very interesting poem,
JimÂ
James,
I really like where you went with this poem....
Jim
