I Envy Our Cat

"Oh" how I envy our Cat, Elsa she sleeps safe In her bubble protected from the harsh reality of life 
she sees nothing of corruption the wealth and the greed the poor hungry the lost and the lonely 

"Oh" how I envy our
Cat, for the love she
gives, all she requires In return
warm place to sleep
water and food In bowls, time to spare give her some love and few toys her to play with

"Oh" how envy our 
Cat, brought by my son to help try fill this empty space In
Lives, loss of a wife
loss of a mother-loss of a beautiful friendship

"Oh" how envy our
Cat, long may she
live safe in her bubble, away from 
reality of live It's the least she deserve for the love she gives to us both

"Oh" how envy our Cat, entertainer she is such fun to be with so many days lay empty ahead but Elsa will help fill many of the days I come home she's there at the door ready to greet purring weaving her way round my feet
