I Fear, Its Now Too Late...

Dreaming of enlightenment
To illuminate the dark
Craving a hint of excitement
When life has lost its spark
Waking every morning
To face the 'daily grind'
Is smothering any optimism
Still surviving in my mind
Materialism doesn't drive me
My God has never been wealth
I'm proud to be a family man
So grateful, for their good health
But every now and then
Just every once in a while
I yearn to open my eyes
Greet the world, with a genuine smile
This life, that's been bestowed on me
Is encased by a heavenly shell
But lurking deep, within its realms
An unhappiness, fueled by hell
Perhaps its down to karma
Or simply just my fate
The time has come for life to change
Though I fear, it's now too late.......

I believe our thoughts so often become self fulfilling prophesies. Those subconscious ones being the more powerful.

Great expression and write Jason. :)
