I hold you close

I prayer to hold you near my heart  and I don't ask me why because I have no reason, you have become my strength and my purpose of life.

Like a dry sponge, you allow me to pour my soul into yours and you would never walk away for me. 

You are a part of me, like a heart beat, So tired I can't even stand anymore. 

Those glass eyes don't cry tears anymore. Doing this with you helps makes me fight my fears.

I hold you so tight, with the grip of steel, Never to let you go, so strong is my will. 

Through you my friend, I can do anything, Compose music, write a book, or even sing. 

With a delicate hand, I keep you so sharp, I can put you down to paper and then we can start.
