I just want you to know

From the very second we met

I felt  an overwhelming love for you

A kind of love I had never felt before 

Quickly you became the sun in my sky,

the twinkling stars that light up my nights

Instantly you became my rhyme and my reason

Forever and always in my heart you will be

I just want you to know

You are a tremendous part of what has made me, me

You flush my first thoughts with joy when I awaken

As well in my prayers as I close my eyes to drift off

You are the air that I need to breathe

My every exhale releasing meaningless memories

Inhaling the treasured ones of you and me

I just want you to know

All those days filled with

fairytales, wishes,

hugs and kisses

Tears, stomping feet,

Boo-boo's and fears

All the while a melody of laughter and tears 

Only made my love stronger

I just want you to know

I'd give up the rest of my days on earth

To spend just one more with you

As for the transformation you made within me

Eternally grateful I will be

For the Angels that were sent to me
Taught me the insurmountable difference between
Just existing day by day and living life

Undoubtably you are my purpose in life

Consequently with deep  sorrow I'll admit

I don't know how long I can continue to be

Being as how not having you with me, Im barely exiting

I feel lost in a world with too many familiarities

Seeing as how nothing seems to have meaning,

without that imperative part of me, that is you

Even the broken pieces that remain,
