I knew you

I knew you way before i met youÂ
We use to play in the grass and wish for better daysÂ
The cool breeze blew the hair on our skin and over the mountain wed always gaze
I knew you way before i met youÂ
You sat by me back in grade schoolÂ
We were always the outcast and never fit in but atleast to eachother we were cool
I knew you way before i met you
We use to watch our family cry and prayÂ
We were young and didnt understand it but some how we found the right words to sayÂ
I knew you way before i met youÂ
The cuts and bruises you felt them tooÂ
Always tired of being used and abused it killed our spirit it killed our moodÂ
I knew you way before i met youÂ
The voices in our heads noone understoodÂ
Back to the alter again we stoodÂ
I knew you way before i met youÂ
We both died at a very young ageÂ
But we came back with mighty rageÂ
I thought i knew you before i met youÂ
I swear i actually thought it was youÂ
Must be the voices in my head againÂ
Cause the crazy thing is i never met you

A wonderfully poetic and clever narrative that sings to the romantic.....the repetition of the Title phrase ~ "I knew you way before I met you.." works beautifully throughout this piece.....and lends itself to the lyrical....could be a song quite easily........a VERY compelling read & write!!......ALL STARS!! & PINNED!!........well done dear poet sister!!.......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......and.....WELCOME to COSMO GRACIUOS B!!......T xo ?✴❤
