I Know

Regret Is In The End

You kissed her behind the old building
I was watching in tears with a faint smile
You smiled as you left her, waving
I wiped my face and started to lie

“Hello my dear, where have you been?”
You held my hand and started to sing
“I took a walk and I found heaven~”
Oh I know, you’ve committed a sin

Your lips were warm but your kisses were cold
Are we going to fake it, until we’re old?
My eyes twinkled with a crystal tear
“Yes, I love you.” I heard you tell her!

We slept in same bed, someone’s in your mind
I should be thankful, you are so kind
You only love me on the night of our wedding
How foolish I am, I knew you were lying

Years have passed and we got our offspring
She grew as a fine lady, met a man of her dream
“Mom, Dad meet Sam, my boyfriend.”
Both men went silent on what she just said

Sam turned his back and went to the gate
“Where are you going?” our daughter asked him
You rushed to him, preventing the fate
I hugged our daughter, I know this will happen

Many years had passed and now you are sick
I sang a sad song while holding on a stick
“Your voice is angelic, it’s nice to listen.”
I wished you’ve said that when I could still hear them

I read your lips, “Why did you stay?”
I smiled and keep silent, I can’t speak
You caressed my face, with your apology
I knew, you regretted it, and gave you a peck
